Great night at The Galleries as always. We had an interesting mix of a few old faces(!), lots of new ones and quite a few sceptics. A healthy mix. On the team were El - The Medium, Dean, Graham, Fiona, Andy and myself with appearances from Hazel and Martyn (our guest stars?!)

After a whistle stop history tour we started El's Medium walk round which was fascinating. She picked up on many of the 'regular' ghosts of this ancient building and some new ones too which is always a bonus.

We had our workshop in the base room whilst some braver souls went off with Hazel into the caves, where I believe there were several instances of activity - the cave never seems to disappoint. I took a smaller group into the large courtroom for quickie session of automatic writing. Although the session was all too brief we had several intereseting results which looked like hand writing and one lady's looked like three apparently disjointed letters.

Then you were off on your own... at this stage that we could access the part of the old Police Station which is now a Narrow Marsh exhibition. So many of you took the opportunity to explore there on your own. Beforehnad Graham had been in there with a few guests and passed out, a worry situation for the rest of the team as we all know Graham well and it is not something that has ever happened before. He was not ill just apparently overcome by something and acted all the way back to the base room like a prisoner would!

Whilst you all bravely went off alone most of the team stayed in the base room. Two guests stayed with us and one asked if we'd consider doing something in the base room with them. We tried some table tipping which I think it is fair to say was AMAZING. We seemed to have the spirit of Thomas who I have encountered before at The Galleries and I knew to be a Police hater. He did not like the fact that Dawn, who was round the table, is married to a Policeman!! The table started rocking and within a few minutes it was tipping from side to side with the occasional knock on it. It was all the more impressive as it was a very large table. A couple of other guests joined us towards the end and also witnessed this.

Now we broke into smaller groups for vigils. I took my group into the Police Station area and was joined by Hazel and Fiona. I tried with a smaller group to get a ouija board to start but unfortunately we did not have much luck, we could hear the glass in the next room going round and I believe whoever it was was interested in speaking to our lovely guest Bernie. We called out for ages and tried to get the table to go but I think the expression flogging a dead horse comes to mind. Shame, but it is just the way it goes sometimes.

Our next grouyp who had come up from El in the cave were also keen to try some table tipping so we gave it a go. At first there was some slight movement and possibly the odd faint knock but it was hard to be certain. Thanks to our guest Glen who sat outside for some of this. As the only male in the group we gave it a try with just the girls.
Fiona and I sat next to one of the doors and both heard several noises from just beyond the door as if someone was shifting from foot to foot just outside. We obviously inviited them in - as you do - but it did not get any clearer than that. Hazel did some glass work with this great group in the next room whilst Fiona sat on her own in the room we had left..I asked for something to happen to her but nothing did. I would love to hear brave Fiona scream, never mind, one day..... Because it was now quiet in this area our next group were keen to try the laundry area so off we went.

The main activity in this area was some fantastic table tipping from the spirit of Margaret , it was moving round at one point which is always impressive to see. Well done to the lovely, sad spirit who seems to stay in this part of the old prison - she is always is keen to communicate, if only all spirits were as accommodating. Well done to all the group around the table who stuck with it, bet you have back ache today!

Next we had our mass vigil in the main court room which always seems to respond to a lot of energy. We had spread ourselves out and started calling out to the judges who El had identified earlier. Louise and Patty lay on the table and Louise felt banging at her feet. Some of the group witnessed some light anomolies particularly on the balcony as we called out. The temperature fell dramatically around those of us nearest the cells and it became suddenly menacing here. The lady next to me started shaking and was very unwell so I immediately took her out. As I took her out there was an orb captured following us caught on one guest's camera. Afraid I cannot tell you what happened after this as I stayed with the girl. However I know everyone had worked really hard keeping the energy levels out calling out for the judges to assert their authority in their court room. As I had left with the unwell girl another guest sat where she had been sitting and he told me afterwards that in the same spot he had felt very cold with a tight chest and the sensation of something on his neck!!

We had to end at this point. Well done guys you kept your energy up til the very end which was great and you really joined in. It was a true pleasure to work with you all and great fun at points. Hope to see you all again really soon.
Take care, til we meet again....
